East Torrens Baseball Club Yard Ball Program
Inclusive Baseball for Children, Young People, and Women
What is Yard Ball?
The East Torrens Baseball Club (ETBC) Yard Ball Program is an inclusive baseball initiative aimed at providing opportunities for children, young people, and women with intellectual disability, psychosocial disability, and autism. The program focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where participants can learn baseball, connect with others, and have fun while developing their skills.
At ETBC, we are committed to ensuring that everyone can experience the joy of playing baseball, regardless of ability or background. Yard Ball offers a unique opportunity for participants to build confidence, teamwork, and friendships while engaging in a sport that promotes physical activity, skill development, and social interaction.
Who Can Join?
Our Yard Ball Program is designed to cater to a wide range of participants, including children, young people, and women. The program is divided into age-specific groups, each offering tailored support and activities to meet the needs of the participants.
Children (Ages 4–7): A fun and supportive introduction to baseball through the Mightee-ball Program. This program focuses on helping young children learn the basics of baseball in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.
Young People (Ages 8–17): Opportunities to develop skills, play, and enjoy baseball through the Sox Stars (for beginners) and Sox Sluggers (for more advanced participants) programs. These programs are designed to be fun and supportive, offering a chance to improve skills while playing in a team.
Women & Teenage Girls (Ages 15+): A dedicated program where women and teenage girls can connect, learn baseball, and build confidence while having fun as part of a team. This program is designed to empower participants through skill-building and teamwork.
