Amber Bisset, Project Manager
Amber holds a Master’s in Social Work and has a wealth of experience in policy development and project delivery, which she brings to the Yard Ball Program.
Tony Probert, Program Coordinator
Tony brings a deep passion for education and community sporting programs, with over 30 years of experience. Tony has taught in Special Education settings and both Primary and High schools, he currently teaches at Marryatville High School. Tony is also an experienced baseball coach at local and national level.
The Yard Ball program is also guided by a subcommittee of individuals with significant experience and knowledge in the field, some with lived experience, to ensure the program is relevant, effective, and inclusive:
Kelly Hamlyn: A neurodiversity advocate and educator. Currently an ‘Inclusion Coach’ for the Sport4All program, Kelly brings a lived experience of autism to the subcommittee as our Chair. She leads strategic insight into the program’s design and evaluation. Kelly recently graduated the Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Women in Sport Program.
Sara McKay: A current baseball player for the Glenelg Baseball Club with lived experience of ADHD and autism. Sara also has a professional background in project-related roles within state government agencies, focusing on health and disability. She is passionate about encouraging greater participation in baseball for people with disabilities.
Joshua Boyd: A dedicated Youth Worker and NDIS support worker, Joshua has been a member of the East Torrens Baseball Club for over a decade. He currently works as a FLO case manager at Henley High School, supporting young people’s academic and personal growth. Joshua is committed to making baseball accessible to everyone.
Katherine Ashworth: A loyal supporter of East Torrens, Katherine and her family contribute to the club in many areas, including coaching, playing, administration, scoring and club management. Katherine is eager to contribute to an inclusive sport environment, providing opportunities for all abilities.
Rachel Yorston: Rachel currently manages the ‘Volunteerability’ ILC grant program, which supports people with disabilities to volunteer and provides Disability Awareness training to community organisations. Rachel has also worked as a local area coordinator with the NDIS and has been involved with the club for many years, supporting her family’s participation in baseball.
